This is a custom business sign made
for the reception area at Vida Chiropractic Center. It is a
combination of natural wood, acrylic and metal that results in a
very soothing yet professional appearance. The metal letter is flush
with the green material and gives an added flourish to the
dimensional aspects of the sign. |
| This is another
attractive lobby sign custom made for Shaughnessy Orthodontics.
They wanted to continue the theme of clean, professional, modern
and accomplished. We achieved just the right look with metal
letters that have a gloss finish and are mounted directly to the
wall. Note how it picks up and compliments the other colors in
the room. |

This lobby sign was custom made for Strategic Hospital
Resources. It gives the impressioin of strength and professionalism.
The black acrylic is mounted away from the wall with brush aluminum
standoffs. The logo and letters are black acrylic with brush
aluminum faces. The elements of the logo are stacked to give it an
even greater dimensional effect. You can see from the picture that
the sign picks up the colors from the rest of the room. |
Dimensional signs, such
as those to the right, are more
appealing than a sign that is not dimensional.
The first example has flat letters that appear
to float above the background.
The second example has dimensional letters mounted directly to
the brushed aluminum background which is,
in turn, mounted to the wall with standoffs.
The third example has polished dimensional letters mounted
directly to the wall. |

This is a great example of a lobby sign with 3-dimensional
letters. The gold faces of the letters are brushed metal and the sides are black.
Notice how the colors are alternated in the logo at the bottom. |
This sign has
a unique approach to 3-dimensional letters.
The metal letters appear to float in front of the background.
The background is curved with lines through it that
give it a very attractive architectural appeal. |

 |
The dimensions of this sign fit well on the long wall of the
lobby. The background is clear and stands away from the wall. The
various company logos appear to be suspended with a drop shadow
behind them on the wall |
| The illumination of this
sign is eye-catching. The light shines through the logo and
letters. It creates a halo effect on the wall behind the sign.
The colors make it stand out even more. |

This is a very interesting sign. It illustrates a lot of depth
using acrylic letters on brushed aluminum mounted above an acrylic
backing mounted above the wall. The sign follows the curve of the
wall. The brushed aluminum reflects the colors from the office and
the light coming in the windows. |
The use of polished
aluminum in this directory sign
gives it a very modern image. The curved shaped
adds a nice touch of dimension. The individual
company signs really pop on that background. |
 |
 |
These are good examples of effective office or building
directory signs. Some of the really nice benefits of these signs are
they can be configured in a number of ways and the inserts can be
made using regular paper. Smaller versions can be used as individual
office identification signs. |
The government (OSHA)
requires ADA signs in
most public places. They come in different colors
and materials. They can be custom-made to
match the
decor of more upscale environments.
They don't have to be boring like these! |
